How to use the tool

You can use this tool to view the flood risk level of various districts (and sub-districts) of each of the available states. The tool helps you quickly identify regions at high risk and provides related data points to help you understand the factors contributing to that risk level.

  • Click the state you wish to explore from the home page to enter the Analytics Dashboard. image

  • Alternatively, use the left-side selection menu dropdown to switch states.

Step 3: Exploring indicators

  • Calculated Indicators: Parent indicators (like Overall Risk or Hazard) are visualised using a diverging colour scale, where red indicates the highest risk.

  • Raw Indicators: Sub-indicators (like rainfall in mm or population) are visualised using a sequential scale (lightest to darkest), where darker colours indicate higher numerical values.
